Well.... The vacation time is over and the children all over the country are going back to school. Parents in many homes in the neighborhood are busy finding good tuition teachers for their kids, for, the schools conduct the first unit test in the month of July. one thing i don't understand is " Who should write the test? The parents or the children"? If the answer is children then why the parents are becoming panicky? Educationists across the world are focusing on the special skill or the innate ability which a child has while we , the Indians, who have proclaimed that we have 64 Vocational arts and fine arts as a part of curriculum have sadly forgotten them.

Thanks to Dr.Gardener who proposed the Multiple Intelligence theory and thanx to policy makers who are trying to adopt the theory. But has any school connected these intelligences and the Indian curriculum? If so, then they would see a clear cut connection between the two.

As parents we want what is best to our kids ....but that doesn't mean we should force our vision on them and subject to cut throat competition. I strongly believe that we should give our kids the opportunity to discover themselves and be there for them to lend a hand in case of a pit fall.
